3 sketches made today by me Gloria Poole Registered Nurse artist of Missouri

This is a sketch of a flower that I drew and painted and signed that was intended to be similar to those sunflowers that Vincent van Gogh painted, only I did not achieve that look. So, this is a failed sketch. But I am posting it anyway because it is a learning experience for me. It is 9 x 12 on paper and painted with watercolor. Copyrighted.

This is a sketch I made of a NOT REAL U S Army man back to the States after long deployment, who is weary, lean, tired and glad to see his family. I love the U S Military and was taught that love of them by my daddy who was in the Military [not as career however] and I have 2 brothers who were in the military. I had three brothers but one of them died last December. It's just a way of saying thank you to the U S military. I did not attempt to replicate their uniforms exactly just sort of the impression of them. I drew this, re-drew parts of it, and painted it with watercolors and acrylics and signed it and photographed it a few times. The first photo of this sketch I photographed with one of my cell phones and a criminal who works for AT&T stole it via the AT&T server as I was trying to rename it. So, I re-photographed it again and then again using my big digital camera. Copyrighted. Note that I also have cell phones from T-Mobile and a wired, landline telephone from different carrier and that is because I intend to stay alive. None of my cell phones are trust-worthy because they allow criminal stalkers to pay bribes to carrier and get my info.

This is a sketch I made from my balcony yesterday as the storm clouds gathered. I am always trying to improve my cloud painting abilities. It is not easy to paint clouds. They are basically vapor with sunlight and reflections and that is why it's difficult. other people seem to paint clouds well, but me? I keep on trying to get it right. I was drawing and painting this en plein air from my balcony. It is 9 x 12 inch paper and watercolor and acrylic. Copyrighted.

Solidarity with Christians everywhere with abstract sketch made by me Gloria Poole Registered Nurse artist of Missouri

This is an abstract sketch I made yesterday while thinking what I could do to help Christians in other countries where they are persecuted more than in the U S. So, I decided an abstract sketch is best way to do that because it is "modern" and I enclosed the Christian cross in the Jewish star of David, precisely because JESUS was a Jew, born into the lineage of King David. I put it on a background that is sort of ragged edges because christians everywhere are fleeing countries by walking across borders. And I put the constellation in bottom right to indicate that sometimes, just as in the Holy Bible, they flee at night under cover of darkness lit by the stars and moon. I am Christian, raised in the Southern Baptist Church and taught the scriptures from the age of seven, by a church program. The Holy Bible is the MOST defining part of my life. I cannot do much to help Christians in other countries but I can do THIS. I drew this in inktense which becomes permanent when brushed over with a wet brush. And on 9 x 12 paper in my sketchbook of the moment. I was trying to draw the star of David from memory but obviously I didn't get it precisely right. I signed this, photographed it, uploaded it, and posted it to this blog of mine which is true of all art on this blog. copyrighted.

This is another attempt of mine to draw /sketch hydrangea flowers using chalk, and then I brushed over it with a brush wet with alum water to set it. I read about the alum method of fixing watercolors in a Chinese art technique book that I bought some time ago. I have given it some thought and think that the reason drawing with chalk perfects skills, is that because it doesn't completely erase, it causes the artist to have to THINK about where to place each stroke of chalk. Because once it is there, it is more or less there! So all errors show. I also signed this with drawing chalk and brushed over my signature with alum water also. This is also 9 x 12 inches on paper in my sketchbook. I draw and make sketches in sketchbooks, most of the time, but about 5- 6 times each year I paint in oils on canvas. Painting in oils on canvas is fun to me and I like too, but it is also more concentration and time [weeks or months instead of hour for sketch] for me and more expense so I generally only paint in oils when I have an inspiration-- an aha moment when I realize precisely what I want to make permanent into oils on canvas.I made this, signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it today 18th Sept 2015. I created and signed and photographed and posted ALL art on this blog and it is all copyrighted.

Samovar sketch made today by Gloria Poole,RN, artist of and in Missouri

This is the sketch I drew and painted today of a samovar which is a container with a heated pipe through it to heat water to make tea. Of course, in the United States, there are many ways to make tea: with electric stove, electric tea kettle, that little electric thingamajig that heats one cup water at time for tea bag, microwaves, electric pans, etc, etc, etc. But this method samovar is sort of fascinating to me, and that is partly because usually those are very elegant and beautiful as works of art. if you look at top you see the little white ceramic teapot. I tried to paint a samovar that I saw somewhere. I painted the samovar with acrylic paint and the background tablecloth with watercolor though it doesn't look much like tablecloth. I just realized I should have painted folds of fabric into it. I signed this, photographed it with and without the flash on my camera,uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine. Copyrighted. The cell phone carriers that are trying to ruin me for telling the world that they have institutionalized fraud, identity theft and corruption, have tried to choke down the signal coming to my dsl line so much that it takes about 20 minutes to upload a second photo of art I made. So, sometimes, it is worth it to me and at other times it is not. Depending upon my mood and how much sleep I had. I pay very high/ exorbitant/ padded by criminals/ fees every month for a dedicated line and so -called "high speed internet" which takes anywhere from 7 min to 30 minutes to upload a second photo in ANY platform. I am not as stupid as they think. They think they control the internet and they THINK they are forcing me to recant my Christian beliefs that sodomy and homosexuality is an abomination as defined by GOD HIMSELF in Leviticus 18:22, KJV; but they won't. The internet does not offer anything I HAVE to have! I won't forsake the word of GOD to make perverts happy. And I won't forsake my efforts to defeat that GOD-forsaken evil woman named Hillary Clinton either because she voted against human life in the womb more than one hundred times when she was in the U S Senate and because Planned Parenthood murdering group sponsors her and bankrolls her. And I won't forsake my day to day effort to make a difference in the PROLIFE and personhood battle in this run-up to civil war the United States is currently in.
