I, Gloria Poole, who is a Registered Nurse licensed in Missouri, an artist in all mediums, an author, photographer, cartoonist, illustrator, at times and a mother, and g-mama too, plus a Christian, Republican, prolifer, drew this with "soft pastels". Soft pastels have a specific binder that is different from "hard pastels" or "pastels" though no one seems to know what the pigment is bound with, because I asked several people. This sketch is just an abstract. Put your own meaning on it. I signed it with those same soft pastels which did not write over soft pastels very well, but enough to tell it's me. I drew this on 8 x 11 tinted cardstock. I photographed it more than once on my portable drawing board. { I have several portable drawing boards in a variety of sizes and clips and I use them all intermittently.] Copyrighted, and I,Gloria Poole, own all rights to this blog as a whole unit and to its individual posts and or art I made, words I wrote, and photos I photographed.

This is my selfie in spring 2014 but I look the same except thinner and my hair is longer. I still put my hair in lop-sided pony-tail when I walkabout or paint to prevent hair from getting into my eyes, or into my paints or inks.
