Abstract sketch innards made on 10th July 2015 by Gloria Poole, RN, artist of / in Missouri
This is an abstract sketch of a human's "innards" which is a country word for the organs of the human body inside the peritoneum and in the chest. I drew this in inktense and then put a wash of water over it. I use fine line markers to make the dots in the background. It is 9x12 in my sketchbook. I made it, signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine which is true for all art on this blog. I also photographed all photos on this blog.
This is an ethnic series sketch of a Texas Indian woman who was participating in the "Princess Pocahontas" festival. It purposefully does not look much like her as I considered her to be a private person [not a "celebrity" nor a Monarch, nor an elected official] and I make a deliberate effort not to make images of living private people unless they are "household names" i.e. in the news so much because of their "public figure" status that it is not a violation of privacy or copyright of their images. I made it, signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine which is true for all art on this blog. Obviously this is in my sketchbook which is 9 x 12 .
This is my effort to sketch a pink tree that I saw.I made it, signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine which is true for all art on this blog. You can tell from the signature that I created this with watercolor. I had too much water on my paintbrush when I signed it and so my signature 'ran" a bit from where I signed it. This is also in my newly-bought sketchbook.

This is my selfie in spring 2014 but I look the same except thinner and my hair is longer. I still put my hair in lop-sided pony-tail when I walkabout or paint to prevent hair from getting into my eyes, or into my paints or inks.
