Cranes of Sanibel Island sketch painted today by me Gloria Poole,RN,artist; of /in Missouri
I painted this sketch in acrylic without drawing it first. It is supposed to resemble the cranes on Sanibel Island. I painted this on 8 x 11 paper that I sized with "wheat paste" to make it impermeable to watercolor. This sketch is acrylic however . I signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine today 7 Jan 2016. this is one of 5 sketches I painted and or drew then painted today or late yesterday. Copyrighted. Also, I made a quick 2016 "logo" of sorts using Prussian blue paint and a brush and I added that below this .

This is my selfie in spring 2014 but I look the same except thinner and my hair is longer. I still put my hair in lop-sided pony-tail when I walkabout or paint to prevent hair from getting into my eyes, or into my paints or inks.
