This is a watercolor and acrylic sketch that I created last evening on paper in my 11 x14 sketch book and I named it "canoe trip".

This is another sketch I created yesterday afternoon and uploaded today. It is mixed media of watercolors, acrylics and 11 x 14 paper in my sketch book. This is a sketch of what is called "tanking down river" and is when people in rural counties use cattle feeders to float or paddle down river. Those cattle feeders are usually anodized aluminum.

This is the sketch I started last nite about bedtime and completed this morning with a slight do-over. It is watercolor 8 x 11 of an eagle swooping in to grab its prey.

This is applique art [art I made a technigue for that consists of shapes cut from decorative papers and added to a painted background] of a barnyard. The sparkle at the bottom edge is actually a neon green sequined paper but when I photographed it it looks different and not as it does on actual paper. I selected that paper because I thought it would make it look grass that needed mowing and in the sunlight.

This is a sketch of fruits that ripen in the summer and sliced as they would be on a serving tray. You can tell hopefully what they are, but just in case from the left, they are grapefruit, oranges, lemons and limes.

Alien spaceships photographed by Gloria Poole of Missouri ;re-posted for Forbes magazine

I, Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia, photographed what I think is an alien spaceship of some sort, several times beginning in year 2007. Each time it was not visible as I looked though camera lens but only when I uploaded it was it visible. In other words, it was visible to the camera but not to my human eyes. I photographed similar with about 3 different cameras. I should have all of them in my archives somewhere because I posted them as I photographed them. Two of these are from October 2012 and I photographed those two in the field where the solar panel is located. The photos showing a swimming pool are photos I photographed from my balcony of my apt in Missouri. You can see it is different times of the day. I am re-posting these because in the past week, Forbes magazine ran an article asking the question if alien life exists or something to that effect and tweeted it. I read it and replied to tell them I thought i had actually photographed a spaceship [or satellite] unintentionally on several occasions [also in Colorado when I lived there but with a different camera in yr 2008 or 2009]. I am also wanting to know what that thing is? My photos have been hacked into several times, and an entire 2 GB of photos I photographed and put on a "free" site named mozy [dot] com [in Colorado] were stolen FROM me in 2009. So, I am not sure if the original photos I posted of what appears to be an alien spaceship still exists on web so I am re-posting from my archives some of them. I photographed some of these with my big digital camera and some with a cell phone of mine at different times. So, Forbes this is particularly for you. This is the mixed media of a "peacock" that I made this afternoon with appliques and acrylic paint. I have tried several times to create peacocks in an abstract form and this is probably the 8th time I have tried. Peacocks are such glorious birds when they feathers are fanned, and I keep trying to create something that looks that spectacular. I am not happy with this so I am going to try again. I made this with appliques and acrylic paint and it is 14 x 17 on poster board. Polychrome sketch of hydrangeas by Gloria Poole, RN,artist of Missouri and Georgia created at 3:00am last nite.

I created this sketch [drew it with polychrome pencils, then painted portions of it with watercolor from pan set] last nite about 3:00am because I couldn't sleep. The sketch is not blurred but the photo is a bit. I tried about 10 times to photograph it and think I was just too tired. But oh well, I have learned to share my mistakes in art I created as well as my successes. I purposely put in the one lavendar hydrangea because they do have lavendar shades of hydrangeas, and because I thought it was a good way to promote the idea of what the Bible says about GOD creating them "male and female" to be fruitful and multiply. Read Genesis chapter 1:26-28, King James Holy Bible for the exact words of that scripture. Also, I began a new oil painting and I have painted on it for 2 days. I may not post it to the web because I am thinking of entering into a "call for artists" for a Gallery, that is located in London, UK. It depends on how well I achieve my goal with that painting, and on another factor as well. So will decide that in the coming few days. Tornado funnel in mixed media by Gloria Poole,RN,artist of Missouri and Georgia created on 16 Mar 2015

This is my mixed media of a tornado funnel that sucked up everything in its path after first smashing it into wood fragments and dust. I created this today 16 March 2015 and it is watercolor, wood shavings, glue and acrylic on poster board 11x17. I have not endured a tornado but I have been in the path of one twice and each time I prayed and I asked THE LORD JESUS to remember where I live, and both times the tornado went around me. I saw a tornado funnel on TV some time ago and it bothered me a lot--the destructive force of GOD that the Bible warns about. There is a scripture that is written 'the whirlwind of THE LORD hath gone out with a fury". This is my attempt to recreate it as an art collage mixed media image.

Three Sketches by Gloria Poole of Missouri ;Update

This is oil on oil paper sketch 8x 12 inches that I painted last evening. When I first began to paint I would paint on paper instead of canvas often because it was not as intimidating to me as a blank canvas. So, I remembered that yesterday after I had completed the oil painting of a peacock and posted it to another blog of mine at https://artist-gloriapoole.blogspot.com, and had much paint left on on my palette that I did not want to waste. So, I had some fine art papers for oil and I painted 6 sketches very quickly with that paint. This is one of them and I named it "alcove with pier". Another one of that batch is below.

I painted this at same time as above sketch and I named this one "private dock". It is also 8 x 12 inches in size of oil on oil paper.

This sketch is one I drew and painted earlier, wasn't happy with and re-painted it partially to improve on it. It is watercolor in sketch book.
