Archeological dig drawn today by me Gloria Poole,RN,artist of/in Missouri

This is my attempt to draw what I [Gloria Poole,R,artist] think an archeological dig would look like, with trenches dug by a tractor or backhoe, and artifacts in their places if near an ocean, or that was land once under water. It is a simple drawing I made at 4am this morning before breakfast. I photographed it several times trying to make it look deeper contrasts but I was trying to make it look like soil and clay. It's simply an idea onto paper 9 x 12 inches in size in my sketchbook of the moment.the shiny object is a clamp on my drawing board. I used a ruler to draw this and watercolor pencils. Then washed over it with wet brush. Orpington rooster sketch 3 in series drawn by me Gloria Poole, RN,artist of/in Missouri

this is the 3rd rooster sketch I drew in the past 24 hours. I drew this with ink also [as I did the first two] and I signed it, photographed it and uploaded it. I am drawing sketches of the varieties of roosters, for two reasons: i had no idea there were so many variaties of roosters & because they are colorful, pretty birds. I put the sketch 1 in THIS series of roosters on my https://gloriapoole-paintings.blogspot.com, yesterday. And few minutes ago, I tweeted sketch 2 I drew of a Phoenix rooster on my https://twitter.com/gloriapoole. Ethnic series sketch Zimbabwe painted today by me Gloria Poole, RN,artist of/in Missouri

I, Gloria Poole, Registered Nurse, and artist in all mediums, photographer at times, cartoonist at times, author, mother, white, Southern Baptist Christian divorced woman, painted this today 2nd July 2016 using a photograph in a travel magazine as my reference. It is not an exact image of that real person however. I do not know the person but I know the place is Zimbabwe, on the continent of Africa. This is a sketch only on 11 x 15 watercolor-specific paper that I painted with acrylic paint thinned with water and brushes. I signed it, photographed it, uploaded it, and posted it to this blog of mine today 2 July 2016 at 9:52am, but this is not the only blog I have that I post art I make too. this is one of a long series of ethnic series art I began creating in year 2006 when I lived in Colorado for a few awful years. I have painted hundreds of ethnic series sketches and this in the most recent one. I continue to paint ethnic series sketches and occasionally oil paintings also.
