Lighthouses created by Gloria Poole of Missouri

This first sketch is a do-over because I was not happy with it before. It is a lighthouse with a cross as a wind vane. It is acrylic on 14 x 17 paper. I, Gloria Poole, drew, painted, signed, photographed and uploaded all art on this blog and on all blogs of mine. I lived on St Simons Island Georgia for a year and it is lovely way of life. And it has a lighthouse. I have always been fascinated with lighthouses since a child--ever since my then-living-grandmother on the coast of Georgia told me that the ships used the light from the lighthouse to guide them into shore.

This is the 3rd attempt of mine to draw and paint a pretend ballerina. I was not attempting to draw a real ballerina in any of these sketches and created all of these with paper and pencil and paint. My first attempt to create ballerina is the last sketch on this post.

This is my sketch of a prima ballerina dancing on stage. It is also on another blog of mine.

This is the 2nd attempt to draw and paint a ballerina.

.This sketch is a ballet on the stage and it was waaaay harder to draw in motion than I thought it would be. I have tried to draw motion into sketches before with better results than on this sketch. But this sketch also serves a purpose. It shows me the areas I need to improve in. I sort of took a time-out from drawing and painting ballet sketches after this sketch because I was not happy with it. It is posted on another blog of mine and the others may be also, but this is all of them together, which helps me and others [you viewers] see if I am improving.

Another attempt to draw and paint an actual ballet but by modifying the faces and people to make them "pretend people" not real ballerinas. This sketch is pathetic . I was not happy with it all. I do not have much experience creating lots of not-real people all gathered in one place and making a composition of it to paint. I am making efforts to expand my skills to get to the point where I could draw and paint something like "the boating party" or Michelango's Sisten Chapel. It might take me another 20 years of practice to get that good.

This sketch is the prima ballerina putting on her makeup in the dressing room. She is also not a real woman but is shown applying her lipstick while wearing her wrap-around shower towel-thing. I have two daughters who took ballet for years and I saw the backstage area for recitals for years. My daughters did not want to be prima ballerinas but they did want to learn poise and grace and good posture and ballet did that.

This is my sketch of a tiny girl who is at her first ballet lesson dressed in her tutu [which is usually not worn at practice] and in her leg warmings and with a long sleeve t-shirt instead of a leotard. This is a watercolor sketch only and I might repaint it into acrylics at some point in time. It is also on another blog of mine.

This was my first attempt to draw a ballerina, years ago, and I was inspired by the Degas dancer series to see if I could paint those tulle tutus and make them look like tutus.

For the record and to establish provenance of art I have already created also: the art I have created and signed and posted to this blog of mine is part of an on-going series of art I created since year 1991 beginning in Atlanta, GA that "blossomed" in year 2005 in Aurora, Colorado when I lived there for one year [May 2006-May 2007], and art began to really become an integral part of my efforts to save the baby humans from premeditated destruction. In 2005, I began to realize I could use the art to illustrate my talking points in some cases, and to build a secondary "career' for me as artist. In the year 2006 when I had endured and lived to tell about it a violent crash down a flight of stairs and had trauma, fractures, concussion, because my then-husband DBP tried to kill me to 'make it look like an accident" and he tried to twist off my broken leg, I had immobility for months except on crutches and walking boot after surgery to repair fractures and implant metal. As I sat with leg propped up I began to draw daily and paint to occupy the time and my mind. I also began to post art to the web on my blogs and websites, and also photographs I had photographed. I began a series of art then that is named "ethnic series by Gloria" [me] to attempt to draw and paint an art work of every ethnic group tribe, language, culture in the world and I created eight initial oil paintings in the first batch and posted them to the web on domains of mine. I moved from Aurora to zip code 80203 for 2 and 1/2 years and then moved to Missouri on Oct 31, 2009 with the art I had in my possession at that time. I paint some of the sketches I created in do-overs into oils on canvas and those are very visible on the web. Peacock abstract sketch and surreal sketch by Gloria Poole of Missouri

. I, Gloria Poole, drew this with watercolor pencils then used a wet brush to wash over it. Then signed it and then photographed it several times with and without flash on camera. I think peacocks are some of the most gorgeous creatures on the earth. I wish I owned one! I have sketched them several times trying to "capture" with pencils and brushes their beauty but so far, it doesn't come close to the splendor of the real thing [the peacock] . This is watercolor on 91 x 12 paper. . This second sketch is obviously surreal. It's just a fun sketch, no "theme" intended, and not much thought put into it. I was thinking about another sketch I created in past few days and couldn't decide if I believe in aliens. I drew with watercolor pencils, put "wash" with water over it with brush, signed, photographed , uploaded it. I myself have photographed many times what appears to be a spaceship and I uploaded some of those photos at different times to online albums of mine and blogs. So, the sketch sort of morphed from an abstract to an surreal when I added in the alien hand. This is also watercolor 9 x 12 inches.

This third sketch is the one I was thinking about as I was drawing the second sketch. I couldn't quite decide if I wanted that to be a grasshopper or an alien! So, it influenced my thinking/drawing on the above sketch. I actually drew this third sketch before I drew the second one and thought on it a few days, decided to leave it as it was. I drew this on dry media paper [which I often do--start with graphite pencils, decide to paint over it,] so it looks very different on that sort of paper.

Also, I paint with watercolors [from tubes] and also liquid acrylics, and goauche, and tempera and also oils. Occasionally I paint with the thick acrylics that come in jars. And occasionally I create with powdered pastels [applied with special tools] and pastel sticks. And I draw with graphite, charcoal. watercolor pencils, chalk pencils, acrylic [polychrome ] pencils at different times. I draw often when I am resting from exhaustion so I use pencils to create the basic idea then paint it or not. I vary the medium to learn, and also just because I want variety in the art I create.

The internet of things painting emotions by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia

. I, Gloria Poole, drew this quick sketch in pencil then painted with acrylic and name d it "the internet of things". I reason that when all household appliances become as aggravating as any computer is [because of constant surveillance, criminal hackers etc] this is how people will look. I, Gloria Poole, painted it blue to depict depression, and wild eyes to show confusion and anger when the refrigerator-car-oven-walls-heat-air-conditioning-TV-music all get hacked and or "upgraded" until they no longer work. And I painted it as an outline because people will feel like empty vessels when the robots take over. And I painted a broad smile on his face because as are all internet-addicts, he is happy with his internet "toys" and gadgets even if it depresses him how much time he wastes on them. Acrylics on 8 x 11 paper.

. This second photo is one I photographed of the oil painting I painted and named "Anxiety". The light green areas show where an "old man" feels anxiety: something wrong with his head, or mouth; or chest. Oil on canvas amd signed by me Gloria.

. This third one is a cartoon I created in 1995 in Atlanta, GA to show frustration, intense aggarvation, and named it "Aaaaaaaagh".

This fourth one is a cartoon I drew, created of "happy reindeer" to show joy, happiness, elation of a dancing grinning reindeer. It is part of the cartoon story I wrote and illustrated and posted to https://cartooning-by-gloriapoole.blogspot.com entitled the Adventures of Lady Bugs that give picnics.

Fruit sketches by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia

I, Gloria Poole, residing in Missouri but born in the state of Georgia, drew, painted, signed, photographed, uploaded all five of these sketches of fruit that I created at different times, to this blog. The first sketch I named "Lemon Tree" and I created it yesterday; and it is acylics on paper 8 x11. I read years ago that most famous artists painted fruit and still lifes [ a genre] at some point in time. I am not fond of that genre of art but I decided I should learn to draw and paint it. So these 5 sketches are some of those efforts. I have also painted other still lifes and inanimate objects and may display those at another time. I had much trouble photographing this for some reason. I tried about 10 times! So here is the best photo of the bunch of the actual on paper and acrylics sketch I created yesterday.

The second sketch is pears fruit that I created on 17 May 2014 and it is posted on another blog of mine. It is waterclors and acrylic in what is called "mixed media' on paper.

. The third sketch is a gigantic strawberry that is 14 x 17 on paper and acrylics and I created it on 2 May 2014 and it is posted on other blogs also. This is the first time I put all sketches of fruit that I created in one post.

/This fourth sketch is hands displaying blueberries and I created it this year also and it is watercolors on paper.

This fifth sketch is green apples and I drew and painted it some time before and I think I also posted it to my https://gloriapoole.tumblr.com blog and one other blog .

This sixth sketch is one I created of a Georgia peach in year 2013 and it is on paper also, and posted to another blog of mine. Vacation sketch by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia

I, Gloria Poole, drew, painted , signed, photographed, and uploaded this sketch of "pretend people" on vacation playing piggy-back on the beach. My purpose was mostly to see if I could draw and paint a man's bare chest, and the implied movement of his arms behind him holding up his wife as she is piggy back on his shoulders. Drawing movement and musculature into anything is a learned process, that I experiment with from time to time. This is mixed media of watercolor and acrylics on 8 x 11 paper in sketch book.

This is aa "Caspia tern [bird]" sketch I drew and painted a few days ago.

This is an equestrian sketch I drew years ago in pencil. An equestrian is a horse rider in professional status.

This is a pen and ink sketch that I drew as the preliminary sketch for the oil painting I painted later and named "The Sultan" that is one of the ethnic series of oil paintings I have painted since yr 2006. You can see some of those on my blog at https://mini-exhibition.blogspot.com. I enlarged this photo because criminals at remote location tried to shrink it by breaking into this blog today. The reason criminals at remote who are not authorized to login to anything of mine tried to shrink this is because I showed this drawing to the Judge in federal courthouse as I sat waiting on events that I was summoned too as a creditor, to happen, and was sketching in the gallery. Criminals who tried to murder me in Colorado try every way possible to silence me on the web and they try to prevent me using art I create because it makes a connection in people's minds with my name. So, I enlarged it for this blog but it is normally larger than this since it is on paper and I have the original. I have all of these originals in my possession including the oil painting "The Sultan'.

However since I paid full price for the phone that 0813 was on, it belongs to me. Neither is the number 573-990-1433 my number nor do I have a 717 number of any sort. I also do not have a 678 area code number but that number shows up with some regularity on txt msgs and no one seems to know whom it belongs too. Cybercriminals who help criminals in Colorado often break into my accounts and that is sad but true. ...%3Fh1%3Den is the url string that attempts to break into my computer in Missouri. I made changes to this account in an attempt to prevent criminals from breaking into my account. Cybercriminals broke into this account of mine AGAIN.

Cybercriminals stole my google voice number of 5739901433, tried to hijack one of my mobile phones and tried to take over my blog. AGAIN. For about the tenth time since I began this account and blog in the year 2011 . Notice to @FBI @Google: can you remove unknown persons who broke into my cell phone [that is not number 5739901433 but is tangible cell phone] and into my google account,and into my Asus tablet to try to hijack this blog? Can you stop Verizon-gestapo from hijacking every not-Verizon-telephone I have? { NOTE: I NEVER had a Verizon telephone in my life!].

This is the part of the url address that is trying to hijack my Asus tablet, my cell phone number and that did hijack my google voice number of 5739901433: ...%3Fhl%3Den. I do not have any family, business partners, agents, friends, or acquaintances in Denver Colorado. I moved from Colorado on Oct 31, 2009. Rocky Top Dancer sketch by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia

I, Gloria Poole, of Missouri drew this painted it signed it photographed it on my portable drawing board and uploaded it to this blog of mine. Copyrighted. See notice below sketch.

This sketch is inspired by a song that is or was very popular in the state of Georgia and every body dances to it. The dance is sort of a stomp to the rhythmm of it, and it is about a real place named "Rocky Top, Tennessee". I also danced to it --a lot--and loved every minute of it. I painted this as sketch to be redhead because when I was young I had a red-headed aunt Lucy from Italy who wore flaming red nail polish, had hair this color and talked about hundred miles/minute in Italian. My daddy considered her to be a "foreigner" [which was true to a degree but since she married his brother in Savannah Georgia she became American]. He always said to my mama who was her friend, "why do you listen to that EYE-talian?" Because he considered her to be so exotic I was always fascinated by her. I couldn't understand a word she said, but she talked with her hands, managed to antagonize nearly every one in the community [except maybe me] and had gorgeous clothes and jewelry. And she and my uncle went dancing sneakily because my granddaddy [where they stayed when they were in my hometown/community in Georgia] didn't approve of dancing. The background of this sketch is of a place that does not exist as far as I know since I created it with pencils and paint brush just as I created the pretend dancer. Rocky Top the music with words is usually played at Southern festivals and Universities, and at some places to dance. I have this sketch on watercolor paper and it is 9 x 12 of acrylic and watercolor.

So, I thought maybe this was a fitting and proper tribute to her memory [because she died in the last year]. She was probably about the age of this sketch pretend woman [that does not resemble my aunt except for the hair] when I was a child. I named this sketch "Rocky Top dancer" because I loved the song and music and dance of Rocky Top, and because I was fascinated by my real aunt with flaming red hair, much personality and "sass" as my grandmother would have said, and because I have sketched red hair pretend people several times now. Another pretend redhead that I painted into oils for my ethnic series of oil paintings is named "Irish student" and is displayed on my mini exhibit blog of art I create at: https://mini-exhibition.blogspot.com. In fact, I painted redheads several times and I put several of them on a blog all in one post. So google 'red art + Gloria Poole" and see if you find them.

I, Gloria Poole, drew, painted, signed, photographed and uploaded this sketch today to this blog of mine. Copyrighted. See label beneath sketch for info about sketch and copyright notice.

I drew this because I saw a photo of a child with a braid in her hair and I liked it, but I changed everything about it as I drew the basic drawing, and painted it including color of hair, clothing, age of "pretend person", and added jewelry and background. The only similarity to the photo I saw in other words is the braid. I named this sketch "golden hair lady" and it is 9 x 1 inches on paper and in acrylics. However, it does have an underpainting of watercolors.
