3 ethnic sketches & 1 still life by Gloria Poole in Missouri

I am putting here three of the ethnic sketches I created and one of the still life sketches I created. I am adding to this and all my blogs intermittently. As reminder to world that the obit that was on line was not mine! I am alive, and I am creating art almost daily, and I am adding some of it to my blogs, including some from years ago, to connect in viewers minds that I am the same woman who is white, single, christian, woman and mother of two grown daughters whose names are Jennifer and Leigh. I am also a Registered Nurse, licensed in Missouri. And an artist in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen/inks, powdered pastels, pencils, goauche, tempera for many years. Also, a reminder to world that I am NOT on Facebook or Pinterest and was NEVER on Facebook or Pinterest, and NEVER lived in Jacksonville, Florida.

I am putting four more of the sketches I drew / painted on this blog. They are a variety for you viewers. The first one is a watercolor sketch i drew yrs ago and named it "Aramaic man" for the ethnic series I am creating that consists of about 20 oil paintings and hundreds of sketches, so far. I have a separate Picas album with those sketches and paintings of the ethnic series I created on it. These sketches are from yr 2009 I think [look on them] and they have been displayed before on domains that were stolen from me. I have the original art I created and rephotographed them to add to my blogs again to clarify that they are art works I created and that I Gloria Poole own the copyrights too. I have posted copyright notices on this blog before and on every blog of mine.

The second sketch is one of my granddaughters as she looked [sort of, not exactly] at a formal wedding.

The third sketch is a pencil drawing of a big horn sheep, which is one of the few times I drew an animal.

The fourth sketch is similar to a photo I saw in the BBC news of a "Sikh bride on her wedding day." it was intersting to me because it indicates their sacred color is something other than white for bridal gowns. I am a woman and I pay attention to fashion.

Ethnic sketches: Argentinian by Gloria Poole

I am adding four of the ethnic sketches I completed this morning to this blog of mine. The first one is named Argentinian President [my attempt at real person]. I have hand written notes on these as to color of eyes, hair, skin, clothing but I modify them often [called "artistic license"]. These sketches are watercolor and the Tamil tiger also has acrylic on it:

The second sketch is supposed to resemble the Iranian [also known in Bible as Persians] President.

The third sketch is named German Man from the BBC . All of these sketches were drawn by me as I looked at photos in the news of real people. I designate when I am attempting to draw and or paint a real living person. Usually I paint people I make up in my head as I am drawing.

The fourth is my version of a Tamil "Tiger" woman from Sri Lanka that was in a group in the news. I try to refer to authentic costumes or apparel when creating sketches or paintings for the ethnic series I am creating.

I am putting four more sketches I Gloria Poole created on this blog to show the many types of art I create: portraiture of not-real people and occasionally real people; landscape; tropical fish ; and ocean scenes in this post. But I also cartoon, and I paint paintings of entire scenes and I painted the ethnic series of oil paintings and sketches that has been displayed intermittently since 2007. I am painting, sketching, drawing, sketching still, and photograph and add them in batches i.e. upload them from cameras but occasionally I photograph with cell phone(s) and email to my inbox.

The first sketch is a not-existent/ not real person that was the preliminary sketch for the oil painting I painted later that I named "Irish student" that is one of the ethnic series and displayed on other blogs of mine.

Walkover Bridge painting & Harlequin painting by Gloria Poole

I am adding two paintings I painted to this blog. The first one is Walkover Bridge # 2; because I painted a walkover bridge years ago. This is my second attempt to get it as I wanted it. I saw a walkover bridge somewhere in my life and it stuck in my mind. I know they exist everywhere, especially in the island countries that have low lands. It is oil on canvas, and signed by me and I painted it in 2012. I think the first walkover bridge I painted might be on my flick album at http://www.flickr.com/photos/gloriapoole.

The second painting is one I painted trying to paint a woman who would lead a man astray, based on something a man I dated said to me once about me not being one of those sort of women. I paint and sketch and draw often, and usually the people I paint are not real people. So these are not real bridge, not real person, I entitled the "not the sort of woman good men marry" as "Harlequin". It was on another blog of mine [gloriapoole.xanga.com ] for a while.

This is a sketch I created/drew/painted and named "windswept" for a stormy sort of day, blowing earth all around, but coping; and keeping on, keeping on. Just for fun.

And I am adding a cartoon here that I drew and named NSA on it to signify nosiness. But maybe a better name would be "Pinocchio"? Also, just for fun.

I am adding the cartoon to this site instead of my cartooning site because some powers that be on the internet did not think the cartooning sites are mine.

Cartooning is fun but it is not the main way that I paint as an artist. I paint with all mediums of oils, acrylics, watercolors, goauche, tempera, inks on all sorts of surfaces: canvases, paper, sketch books, bristol, and with brushes, pens, and draw with pencils, charcoals, inks, I am Gloria Poole--that is my real, born with name-- and I am the white, single, [divorced twice] heterosexual woman ,mother, grandmother, R.N., artist, blogger, prolifer, Christian, who was born in Georgia but currently lives in Missouri. I am very much alive and never at any time lived in Florida. So don't be fooled by malicious obituaries put to fool the public. I am alive and not dying any time soon, GOD willing. Also, I only have one residence and it is in Missouri and it is not shared. Also for the record, my second ex-husband who lives in Colorado never lived in this apt , never painted anything, never contributed a cent to any thing I have done since yr 2007; and tried to kill me several times. I own my equipment & my phones including the 2 cell phones I had in Colorado, belong to me and I brought them with me when I moved to Missouri in Oct 2009. I keep the ones I had from year 2007 because they are mine, because I photograph with them at times, because I uploaded much art I created with them, and because they were published on websites as mine; and because I put them as my contact on Court documents that are still relevant [in case Court officials needed to warn me of danger if exhusband in the area]. White water canoeing; Welcome baby Prince of Cambridge

This is a sketch I drew with inks and named "white water" of a father and young daughter canoeing in a white water river [which is a very difficult task to do]. Because I use permanent inks [as well as other mediums] it often tries my patience to attempt a sketch with inks only. They are a difficult medium as are watercolors precisely because they are totally fluid. But I did and I post sketches often that are not quite what I had in mind; because it shows my progress as an artist. That particular day I had green permanent ink on my index finger and thumb from painting with green ink and brush/ pen. I have drawn with precision since high school, and learned to paint afterwards. I have painted for years and had [or have] some paintings in museums in state of Georgia. I am adding it here to see how it looks in larger digital form [which I often to] and to show it to world. I learned to canoe at the University of Georgia years ago when a student for a second go-round [different degree]. I had an ignorant canoer in the front position who stood straight up,overturned canoe, dumped us overboard in deep water. That was an experience of righting the canoe, getting back into it, with water beneath of about 40 feet. I don't canoe in white water rivers but some people do, as a challenge. This is an abstract sketch somewhat, meaning the trees on the distant shore barely resemble trees, and I had much trouble with the thumbnail size faces.I do not usually paint or draw in tiny spaces. So that was a challenge and I am not particularly happy with the results so it's a redo also. It's in a sketch book of mine on my portable drawing board. See for yourself:

Also, I want to welcome to the world the one day old tiny Prince of Cambridge born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge of the UK. The birth of the third in line to the throne of 16 countries is history in the making;and I want to record it too. So, I added a photo of a flower I photographed on walkabout, as a customary thing to do for new mothers [ send flowers] as you see here:

Farmer sketch first sketch

This is my sketch I drew and painted and named "Farmer". I also added this to another blog of mine, but then realized I had redone the sketch some and rephotographed it so it might not be identical. This is the first version of that sketch. I changed the beams some and the floor under cow some when I repainted it. I have another sketch almost done too, that I will add to another blog soon.

Sketch Plus Google Plus ?

This is my sketch I painted of a little girl licking her bowl. I named it "those table manners could use some help". It was also on another blog of mine but in a rougher form. Also, on this particular blog for some reason, it is very hard to tell how the photo I upload will actually look . On the other blog that I uploaded it too, I think it looks more accurate shape-wise. I photograph my art with an assortment of cameras, and they all have settings, and I experiment with the settings and with the cameras quite a bit.

Also, I am trying to learn how to use Google plus as it seems to be an excellent platform for many uses. I am a bit intimidated by it at this time. I 'accidentally" added 63 tech people today by clicking a button that said "follow" technology. I guess I thought it would be tech news. I don't know how to un-add them, so if you see yourself in my google plus and wonder how that happened, that's how.

I am painting on a large canvas. It is a work in progress as it requires skills to paint water that I don't have yet. Well. I mean, I have painted water scenes on smaller canvases, but this is large canvas that is much more ambitious idea. So, it's bit by bit to accomplish, then down time, think on it, then try again.

In the meantime, I am trying to keep my blogs updated in reasonable time frame. I updated one yesterday at http://gloriapoole.wordpress.com that was last updated in January. So, trying to do better.

Lawn chairs & gardens--sketch & a photo

This sketch is a sketch I drew and painted last yr. that is another blog of mine in the archives. I add a few sketches to more than one blog as a way of sort of associating my originals in the minds of viewers [meaning that they will know I am the same woman who creates art for gloriapoole.blogspot.com; and other blogs, and writes the content; and who is indeed Gloria Poole]. The sketch is of a theme I really like since I saw the garden chair and then decided to sketch it. There is a similar chair set in a wooded area in a gorgeous garden covering acres of land where I walkabout and photograph some. The South is infused with azaleas, but the Midwest? not so much. The pink flowers are azaleas.

Then yesterday on walkabout, I saw a different scene with a different sort of bench and background and photographed it. I have not painted from it yet, [but might later; so I am adding it here. The second photo with the broader bench is only a photo, not a painting or sketch. But you can see that such scenes are appealing visually for painting or photographing. I photograph a ton! In fact,on almost every walkabout and with an assortment of cameras, cell phones, digital cameras, cameras with film, etc. I began that years ago to paint from when I got home, and continue photographing regularly. I add photographs that I photograph to my blogs intermittently also, but I label them as such.

I am doing all that I can do to try to get control of my name, my blogs, my content, my telephones; my art I create and my photographs I have photographed since 2007 and added to online albums including Flickr, Picasa, mozy, and T-Mobile, and blogs including http://gloriapoole.livejournal.com; gloriapoole.wordpress.com; gloriapoole.xanga.com; gloriapoole.tumblr.com; gloriapoole1749.wordpress.com; gloriapoole.blogspot.com; gloria0817.blogspot.com; and others; and more others that are specifically for writing on the prolife cause, or mission to publish the gospel in bits and bytes. The blogs included are not all the blogs I have created and add too intermittently. Also, I have to add this so people are not deceived: I have 2 Picasa albums that I know of,* that I created years ago, and that have many photos of the art I created and some of me, and some of family photos possibly. However, once when I logged into this blog there were pages and pages of photos [about 3500 photos] attached to user id's I had never heard of, or seen before and which shocked me that somehow they were able to add content to my album [from my tablet] without my permission. I am very cautious about creating online albums for several reasons and that is one of them. I don't want to accidentally vouch for unknown photos or unknown persons who use my name unlawfully! It had about a handful of my photos but then pages and pages of people's photos who were totally unknown to me.

My art I create and the photos I photograph are always moral and could be viewed by anyone. I do not publish to the web immoral or illegal stuff and try faithfully not to allow it to get on my computer(s) in any form.
